Cookie Sheet
- 1 large Italian Loaf
- 4 oz Shredded Cheese
- ½ stick Butter melter
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Dried Parsley Flakes
- 1 tsp Oregano
- Salt and Pepper to taste (I used 1/4 tsp each)
Using a serrated knife, cut slits down your bread using a cross hatch-like design. Making the cuts wide enough to leave bite sized chunks of bread. I left about a 1"-2" space between each. No need to be perfect during this step! Just don't cut all the way through the bottom!
Once you've finished cutting your bread, begin gently stuffing the cracks of your loaf of bread with your shredded cheese.
Next, melt your butter in a microwave safe bowl. This only takes a few seconds in your microwave!
Stir all of your spices into your butter and begin spooning or basting over your bread, focusing on each opening.
Bake at 375 for about 10-20 minutes, depending on your oven and preferred doneness! We like our bread soft, warm, and melty. If you like your bread crunchy, go for a little longer than 10 minutes!
Tips
- You can use any cheese for this recipe - mozzarella, white cheddar, colby, monterey, and so on. The stretchier, the better. But, whatever you have on hand works!
- If you don't have butter on hand, you can replace it with a neutral tasting oil.
