Ingredients

  • 1 lb Smoked Bacon I love Applewood Smoked
  • 16 ounces Rotini Pasta or use your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb Chicken Tenders cut into bite sized pieces
  • 32 ounces Chicken Broth
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream or more to your taste, divided in half
  • 4 ounces Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Ranch Packet
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano

Instructions

  • First, fry your bacon in your skillet until crispy. Then remove your bacon on a paper towel lined plate to all the grease to drain and add your chicken to the skillet. I cut my chicken tenders into bite sized pieces before frying. Once the chicken is in the skillet, I topped it with oregano and cooked it until it was slightly golden brown.
  • Then, add your uncooked pasta and pour your carton of chicken broth over the pasta along with half of your heavy cream and ranch packet. Stir everything until the pasta, cream, and ranch packet are completely combined. Cover and cook until the pasta is cooked through.
This takes about 15 minutes on medium heat in my electric skillet but cook times may vary slightly.
  • Next, add your bacon and parmesan cheese and combine your bacon and cheese into the pasta. Add the remaining half of your heavy cream - you can always add more if you like - and mix everything together well. I like my pastas extra creamy!
  • Finally, top your pasta with a little extra parmesan cheese. It is ready to eat! Enjoy!
  • Additionally, you could always use half and half in place of the heavy cream. It likely would not become as creamy as if you were to use heavy cream but would still be delicious!

Tips

  • You can use any pasta shape that you like or have on hand. I like rotini pasta for these kinds of dishes because the spirals hold onto the sauce!
  • Any chicken will do! I prefer chicken breast for this dish but you can use thigh or even canned chicken.
