Ingredients

For the meat and cheese:

  • 6 oz Honey Ham
  • 6 oz Salami
  • 6 slices Provolone Cheese

For the garlic bread:

  • 1 loaf Italian Bread
  • ½ stick Butter softened
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese grated

For the salad topping:

  • ¼-½ cup Black Olives sliced
  • ¼ cup Onion sliced
  • ½ cup Banana Peppers chopped
  • ¼ cup Mayp
  • ½ cup Italian Dressing
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano dried
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400℉ and slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  • Mix together the softened butter, garlic powder, parsley, and Parmesan in a small bowl.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture over one half of the bread, all the way to the edges.
  • Layer the honey ham, salami, and provolone cheese onto the other half of the bread.
  • Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cheese melts and the buttered edges begin to brown.
  • While the bread bakes, toss the lettuce, olives, onion, and banana peppers together, then stir in the mayo, Italian dressing, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Spoon the salad mixture over the meat and cheese half, close the sandwich and slice it into servings.

Notes

  • Let the butter soften before mixing it so it spreads on the bread more easily.
  • Broil for an extra minute for crispier edges and golden cheese, but watch closely to prevent burning.
  • Keep the salad separate from the sandwich until ready to serve for the best texture.
