For the meat and cheese:
- 6 oz Honey Ham
- 6 oz Salami
- 6 slices Provolone Cheese
For the garlic bread:
- 1 loaf Italian Bread
- ½ stick Butter softened
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese grated
For the salad topping:
- ¼-½ cup Black Olives sliced
- ¼ cup Onion sliced
- ½ cup Banana Peppers chopped
- ¼ cup Mayp
- ½ cup Italian Dressing
- 1 teaspoon Oregano dried
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Preheat your oven to 400℉ and slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
Mix together the softened butter, garlic powder, parsley, and Parmesan in a small bowl.
Spread the garlic butter mixture over one half of the bread, all the way to the edges.
Layer the honey ham, salami, and provolone cheese onto the other half of the bread.
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cheese melts and the buttered edges begin to brown.
While the bread bakes, toss the lettuce, olives, onion, and banana peppers together, then stir in the mayo, Italian dressing, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper.
Spoon the salad mixture over the meat and cheese half, close the sandwich and slice it into servings.
- Let the butter soften before mixing it so it spreads on the bread more easily.
- Broil for an extra minute for crispier edges and golden cheese, but watch closely to prevent burning.
- Keep the salad separate from the sandwich until ready to serve for the best texture.
